この世で、もっとも果たされない類の約束。
新米教師である主人公・柳本祐亮も、
遠い昔に交わしたその約束が果たされることは無いのだろうと
思いながら日々を過ごしていた。
そんなある日、彼が一人暮らしをしている部屋に、
年の離れた親戚の女の子・逢坂絢音が訪ねて来て、こう言った。
「わたし、結婚できるようになったよ。
……約束通り、お嫁さんにしてくれる？」
